“Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success.”

In the Business Unit at Wasatch House, there are multiple opportunities to learn valuable skills in the area of business and clerical duties. Data entry, cash and check deposits, ordering office supplies, entering and filing attendance rolls, and basic computer skills are just a few examples of those skills and duties members work on every day in the Business Unit. The Business Unit is also in charge of making sure our receptionist desk is staffed at all times, answering incoming phone calls and directing members, staff, and visitors as they enter our Clubhouse.

Additionally, there are opportunities to work on our monthly newsletter team doing interviews with members, gathering reports on the comings and goings of Wasatch House activities, and learning to type, edit, and format text and pictures on computer programs. Members in the Business Unit can learn and use these same skills working on our annual yearbook that chronicles the events and people of Wasatch House.
